Terms of use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Provider and scope
These terms govern your use of Lunamemo (the “Service”), offered by Robin Foss, trading as “Robin Foss Software”, Horremer Straße 7, 41470 Neuss, Germany (“we”, “us”). The Service is intended for private use. By signing in or connecting an assistant you agree to these terms.
2. The Service
Lunamemo stores short notes about you (“memories”) and makes them available to the AI assistants you connect, for example ChatGPT and Claude, so that the same context is available in each of them. You can view, edit, export and delete your memories at any time in the dashboard. Assistants decide on their own which facts they save; we do not control what they send us.
The Service is currently free of charge. There is no entitlement to a particular scope of features, and we may set technical limits, for example on the number or size of memories.
3. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 years old and have a Google account. You sign in with Google; we do not store a password. Everyone who is signed in to your Google account can use your memory, and so can every assistant account you connect. Disconnect assistants you no longer use in the dashboard.
4. Your content
You remain the owner of your memories. You grant us the right to store them and to process and transmit them to the assistants you connect, solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for what you and your assistants save, and you confirm that you are entitled to store it.
Do not store passwords, payment or identity numbers, access keys, content that is unlawful, or sensitive information about other people. We reject obvious secrets automatically, but this filter is not reliable and does not relieve you of this obligation.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
- Do not attempt to access other users’ data, to bypass technical limits or security measures, or to overload the Service.
- Do not register clients or accounts automatically in bulk.
If you breach these rules, we may restrict or end your access.
6. Third-party services
The Service works together with services we do not control, in particular the assistants you connect (such as ChatGPT by OpenAI and Claude by Anthropic) and Google (sign-in and database). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for the answers an assistant gives or for how it uses memories once you have let it read them.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable operation but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, restrict or discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice, normally at least 30 days, and you can export your memories during that time, unless a shorter period is required for legal or security reasons.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.
For slightly negligent breaches of an obligation that is essential to the purpose of the contract (a cardinal obligation), our liability is limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable at the time the contract is concluded. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. These limits also apply to the personal liability of our employees and agents.
Because the Service is free and can fail, keep your own copy of anything important. The dashboard offers a full export.
9. Ending the contract
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account and all data in the dashboard. We may end the contract with 30 days’ notice, and without notice for good cause, in particular for a serious breach of section 4 or 5. When the contract ends, we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for valid reasons, such as changes in the law, new features or security needs. We will tell you about changes in advance. Changes that limit your rights or add obligations need your consent; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
11. Governing law and final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you live. If you are a merchant or a legal entity, the place of jurisdiction is Neuss. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force.
